Culture Club Roundup

One of the best things about Fintech is the culture instilled throughout the company. Our Culture Club does a fantastic job of putting together different events that give Fintechers the opportunity to relax, mingle with other departments, and celebrate company milestones. As we are about halfway through 2023, let’s take a look at some of our Fintech Culture Club events so far.

Gasparilla Day

Gasparilla event

As part of the Tampa Bay community, Fintech happily gets in on the fun of the annual Gasparilla festivities. The famous “invasion” is hosted annually in January along Bayshore Blvd and into downtown Tampa. Fintech celebrated with a pirate-themed party complete with treasures, costumes, and a dash of rum.

March Madness

Fintech got in on the March Madness action with a bracket challenge of our own. The tournament was full of upsets, but that’s the beauty of March. Julia Fogarty (Graphic Designer, Marketing) won the challenge and had her name engraved in Fintech history on the March Madness trophy. She’ll hold on to the bragging rights until next year when a new winner’s name will be etched onto the prize.

Pie Day

Pie day cart

March 14th, or National Pie Day, is ripe for puns and a great excuse to eat pie, which is exactly what Fintech did. The Culture Club made their way around the office with a pie cart for everyone to enjoy. There was also a raffle prize for two homemade pies from a local bakery.

St. Patrick’s Day

St Patricks Day spread

At Fintech, we take any chance to celebrate a holiday. Our St. Patrick’s Day celebration featured all things green from treats to drinks. The Culture Club hosted a nice luncheon spread where everyone got the chance to take a break from the day and catch up with each other.

Peep’les Choice

This year brought the long-awaited return of the Peep’les Choice contest, in which teams construct custom scenes with nothing Peeps marshmallow treats and arts and crafts supplies. There was no shortage of creativity. You can take a look at the different scenes in the video below.

Pint Day – Happy Hour

Fintechers enjoyed a Pint Day Happy Hour at World of Beer (a Fintech client) in Tampa. We host multiple Pint Days throughout the year to give people an opportunity to connect and enjoy the hospitality of one of our fantastic Fintech clients.

Dapper Derby Day

Kentucky Derby Day

People put on their Sunday Derby best for the Dapper Derby Day. The office felt like Churchill Downs with everyone’s costumes, our miniature horse racing contest, and Derby-themed cocktails and treats.

Bowling – Happy Hour

Our latest Happy Hour event gathered Fintechers at Pin Chasers in Tampa for a spirited bowling competition. There was also a 50-50 raffle won by Matthew Galon (SMB Sales Representative, Sales).

Yoga and Massages

For those looking to relax in the middle of the day, Fintech brought in a massage therapist to help work out those kinks. We also hosted multiple mid-day yoga classes throughout June, each of which targeted specific areas of the body.

Looking Forward to the Future

We still have some great events to look forward to over the rest of the year. These include:

  • Tampa Bay Rays Night at Tropicana Field
  • Office Golf Tournament
  • September Happy Hour
  • Office Halloween Party
  • International Potluck
  • Holiday Party
  • And more…

Thank you to the Culture Club for their hard work in putting these wonderful events together. And thank you to all the Fintechers who make it to these events, you are what makes this company special!
