If your business runs on QuickBooks Online, your invoice and payment data must end up in your books as part of the accounts payable cycle. While you may already be automating invoice payments through Fintech, you are missing out on added efficiencies if you are still manually entering each invoice into QuickBooks Online. Fintech’s native QuickBooks Online integration closes that gap, automatically syncing your invoice data by location, vendor, and category in a single connected experience managed entirely through the Fintech Portal.
What’s New
Fintech has launched a native QuickBooks Online API integration built directly into the Fintech Portal. This creates a single, Fintech-managed connection for invoice data sync today, with more account management capabilities on the way. Vendor setup, location management, and invoice history all run through the same platform you already use for automated invoice payments.
What is an API? API stands for application programming interface and essentially allows two different electronic systems to exchange data with one another. In this case, the QuickBooks Online API enables Fintech to connect with your QBO platform to send clean invoice data.
How It Works
Setup happens once in the Fintech Portal:
- Authenticate your QuickBooks Online account: You will be prompted to log into your QBO account so Fintech can connect
- Assign values from the dropdown provided: Once connected, you can assign values for each row displayed in the Accounts (GL codes), Vendors, and Locations tabs
- Let it run: Machine learning applies the right GL codes to your categories and the right values for each vendor and location to future invoices automatically
The process runs on its own once fully set up. When a vendor sends an invoice for payment, Fintech ingests it, standardizes the data, applies the correct GL code, and delivers clean invoice data to QuickBooks Online every evening, Monday through Friday.
New vendors, locations, and GL codes added in the Fintech Portal are reflected in QuickBooks Online in real time, so your setup stays aligned without double entry.
Fintech also provides expert support services for assistance with setting up the QuickBooks Online integration.
Why It Matters
- Single platform, fewer logins: Manage vendor setup and QuickBooks Online invoice data sync from the same place you already use for automated invoice payments.
- Real-time alignment: New vendors, locations, and GL codes stay in sync between the Fintech Portal and QBO as you add them, giving you a current view instead of waiting on the next data delivery to catch up.
- One place for research: With invoice and payment data coming from the same source, your team can look up history without checking multiple systems.
- Built for how you already work: This integration works for all the invoice data you are processing through Fintech today, including alcohol invoices or any other invoices for goods or suppliers you are purchasing for your business.
The Bottom Line
Keeping invoice records in QuickBooks Online shouldn’t require juggling extra logins or waiting on data to catch up. With Fintech’s native QuickBooks Online integration, all vendor, location, and GL code information stays aligned automatically. Set it up once, and the day-to-day takes care of itself, providing you with one trusted source for payments and bookkeeping.
